I’m a freelance writer. When I’m not writing, I teach writing here in Texas and can also be found combing through the slushpiles for a literary agent in town, looking for the golden nugget.
I’ve written for print, television, and video. My essays and articles have been published by The Frederick News Post, The Washington Post, The Dallas Morning News, D Magazine, Better Health and Living, Ladies’ Home Journal(LHJ.com), Babble.com, Newsweek.com, and CNN Radio. Other clients have included The Chicago Tribune, Tribune Broadcasting, National Retail Federation, Food Marketing Institute, Anderson Consulting, PBS, International Dairy Foods Association and Supermarketguru.com, where my column about the connection between food and good health appeared weekly. Prior to freelance consulting I was Director of Creative Services for Food Marketing Institute (FMI), a trade association in Washington, D.C., and held positions with Lord and Taylor’s Advertising Division in New York, and NUS Training Corporation.
