Who am I
A writer and educator, I'm Professor of Gender and Women’s Studies and Public Health, and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Inclusion, at the University of Arizona. I'm the author of several books, co-editor and publisher of TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism, and a Managing Editor of The Feminist Wire. My creative writing has appeared in Slow Trains, Vine Leaves, The Linnet’s Wings, and other venues. Born and raised in the Midwest, I live in Tucson with my partner, daughters, three canines, and a betta fish named Loki. I'm currently finishing a book on infant mortality and have started another research/writing project on elephant trauma.
