Who am I
Roselee Blooston is a writer whose works for the stage have been widely produced in New York City, at the Edinburgh Festival, on Voice of America, NPR, and on cable television, and whose fiction, essays and articles have appeared in print and online magazines and anthologies and have received recognition in a number of contests. She founded and directed the non-profit Tunnel Vision Writers' Project, was a founding member of the online community Montclair Editors and Writers and has taught writing and acting in a number of university and conservatory programs.My first book, Dying in Dubai, a memoir of marriage, mourning and the Middle East, was published by Apprentice House Press, Loyola University Maryland in October 2016 and is a 2016 Foreword INDIES Winner and an Eric Hoffer Award Finalist. My debut novel, Trial by Family, also by Apprentice House Press, was published on October 1, 2019 and was a 2020 Gold Medal Winner in the Independent Publisher Book Awards for Best Regional Fiction.
In 2022 my collection, The Chocolate Jar and Other Stories, and my memoir, Almost: My Life in the Theater will be published by Apprentice House Press.
