I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I have a BA in American Studies from Barnard College, where I also studied playwriting and worked for various off-Broadway theatre companies. After graduation, I interned for a Broadway producer. Currently I work at a humanitarian foundation by day. By night, I write fiction, and write a dating column at www.thethump.com.
In my writing, I like to explore the depths of everything– from relationships to pop-culture, humanity, and current events. My inspiration and energy comes from friends and family, conversation, traveling, music, working out, yoga, reading, the arts, and trying new things.
I'm lucky that my writing has received awards, readings, and publication from Girls Write Now, the Taglit-Birthright Alumni Essay Contest, Barnard College, The New South Young Playwright’s Festival, and The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, among others.
Right now, my big project is writing my first novel. I also have a twin sister who often gets mistaken for me on the New York City subway!
