Hi! My name is Sandra Marchetti; I am a poet who lives outside of Chicago. I was just named the regional winner of the Midwest Writing Center's Annual Mississippi Valley Chapbook Contest. My chapbook, The Canopy, is due out in 2012. I was also a Finalist in the 2011 Gulf Coast Poetry Prize and Phoebe's 2009 Greg Grummer Poetry Contest. Recently, I was published in Spurt Literary Journal's premier issue as a "Featured Artist," and in Nolos and Phoebe. I am also currently sending out a full-length manuscript of poems titled "Confluence."

I teach creative writing, literature and composition. I am also a writing specialist at Aurora University (writing tutor). I have my own professional editing and tutoring service which I run in my off time. I edit/help to shape personal statements for grad school, dissertations, theses and undergraduate and grad writing. Also, I have helped authors ready manuscripts/articles/creative work for publication.
