I wrote a yet-to-be-published road trip memoir.
From my book proposal: "Between the Ditches is a humorous coming-of-age road trip memoir that gives center stage to my refreshingly unvarnished relationship with my trucker dad and our eighteen-wheeler cross-country chase for 'It,' a stopping point where we hope to understand love, life, and death. At the start of this journey, in February 2007, I am a twenty-six-year-old struggling journalist who had, hitherto, washed ashore in many unfit ports of call. I am the quintessential Gen Xer/Millennial—overeducated yet underpaid and burdened with unprecedented amount of school loan debt and insatiable restlessness—the modern-day Odysseus—wandering without focus to find meaning and home."
