I am a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, now living in the Colorado Rockies where I'm an author and a freelance journalist. For many years,I worked as an attorney and entrepreneur in Switzerland. From our home in Crans-Montana, Valais, my husband Dani and I explored the wine-growing regions of Italy and France, with particular attention to Piemonte, Tuscany and Burgundy. Those transformative experiences led to my life as an author, my labor of love.
My first book, "Labor of Love: Wine Family Women of Piemonte," is the product of 16 years of travel to Piemonte and over 200 hours of interviews with wine families across the region. In Labor of Love, I tell the stories of 22 wine families rooted for generations in Piemonte’s Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato regions. Whether known the world over for its wines or celebrated only within Italy, each family is rich in history. The families want readers to know their stories and the stories of their ancestors, and who share with readers their glimpses into the future of agriculture, viticulture, and wine family life in Piemonte. The book is available on Amazon, my website, winefamilies.com, and USA Eataly stores.
