Jennifer Wolfe, a writer and middle school teacher, is dedicated to finding the extraordinary in the ordinary moments of life by thinking deeply, loving fiercely, and teaching audaciously. With over 28 years of teaching experience, Jennifer is a Google Certified teacher, has taught English, AVID, Yearbook, and Reading, and serves as a mentor teacher, department leader, AVID coordinator and school technology coordinator. Jennifer publishes regularly on her blog, mamawolfe, at jenniferwolfe.net. Jennifer is part of the HyperDoc Advisory Board and Consultant Team.
Jennifer’s passion for teaching has led her to participate in many educational projects, including receiving a Teachers For Global Classrooms fellowship in 2011, volunteering in Nicaragua since 2010 with the non-profit program Seeds of Learning, receiving the Ralph Waldo Emerson Junior High School Teacher of the Year Award in 2012, sharing her love of education on Studio 40 TV, and presenting on HyperDocs, Creating Digital Portfolios With Google Sites, Critical Reading, AVID strategies, Raising Student Voice With Blogging and Social Media, 21st century teaching skills, inquiry-based teaching, and utilizing technology in the classroom at such conferences as the California League of Middle and High Schools, Ed Tech Summits, National Council For Teachers of English, CapCUE, Sacramento County Office of Education/AVID Center, and for her Davis, California school district.
