I have just finished writing my third book for and about Women in Second Adulthood - HOW WE LOVE NOW: Sex and the New Intimacy in Second Adulthood," that will be published on Valentine's Day, 2012. I began exploring this stage of life when I turned "50" and knew that something was happening to me and with women my age. In my first book, INVENTING THE REST OF OUR LIVES, I described this time of our lives as a vibrant, empowering stage that starts with the "Fertile Void" and takes us on journey of exploration and self-invention to self-mastery and authenticity. It is a journey we are still on together. FIFTY IS THE NEW FIFTY includes the lessons that I learned from my own life and the stories of women on the frontlines of this movement. THE WAY WE LOVE NOW is a continuation of the conversation I began with the first book. One thing I know for certain, there's still more to come because we are still defining this stage as we live it.
