    I'm trying to write a memoir, and I can't get my hands around it. I really just want to talk to someone, who has a recovery story, and how I can best do mine. Please help. If anyone is in the Chicagoland area, I'll take you to lunch. :)

  • Yes, physical violence of any sort, whether its a parent, spouse, boyfriend -- whatever -- stays with us. But recovery is possible. In writing about my experience, I remove it from myself and onto the printed page. A release. A bloodletting. A balm to soothe.
