  • Maria, what a great article. I am not into sports so I rarely listen to commentators. But you bring up a very good point about grammar. I wonder how many viewers write to the stations pointing this out. When I listen to the news, I will pay more attention to how reporters use pronouns. :)
  • @Mark, The viewers like what they like...even if it's bad quality, which makes it hard to explain why editing is so critical when you read so many authors who avoid it like the plague but sell like hotcakes.
  • And then there's Donald Trump, who (among others) have turned PITA into a business. Of course, even he kowtows to masters: the viewers.
  • Meghan, appreciate the additional input.  I'm still waffling back and forth over parts of this, but for now I've made my blog "private" with no viewers unless I invite them.  For now, I feel very safe in this.  Over time that may change.
