The Submission Mission: IDEA #2 FOR SUMMER
IDEA #2 FOR SUMMER: Define Submission Widely
When I sit down, choose a few poems or a story to submit, and double-check the guidelines for a few literary journals, I’m in the process of submitting. Each envelope that goes out and each attachment to the online form or email counts as a submission. I’m sure we can all agree on that.

The digital highway of websites and blogs how intriguing and yet how overwhelming and time consuming! Its the means to which we gain new friendships and lose track of time. As a writer, reader, and internet user I am constantly trying to keep up with my twitter, email, shewrites, goodreads and wordpress blog accounts. The Skill of Adaptation: Your She Writes Interns on the Final Harry Potter Film
Posted by Margaret Traylor on July 14, 2011 at 10:00am We don’t know what your plans are for tonight, but Isabel and I (the two She Writes interns) have had the tickets booked for a month- we’re both going to say goodbye to Harry Potter, and more symbolically, to the period in our lives in which we can still read children’s fiction as children. Okay, so that time has probably passed for both of us; but we’re willing to extend the fantasy a little longer and savor this final glimmer of childhood.
Despite our enthusiasm, we aren’t going to hold back our criticism of the film and neither will thousands of fans. “How could they include X?” “Why would they leave out Y?” Some scenes will be met with universal ire, and a certain caliber of fan will go crazy over the slightest change of Rowling’s original details. “How dare they leave out…
