Brits are very polite. At all times and in all circumstances. They never say "No". I once asked a colleague whether he had already used a new software I had heard about. I have always liked London. I don’t really know why. Maybe it is because of the energy, the various parks and the narrow, cobbled streets. But I can’t help thinking that it is because London has all the ingredients of an organised chaos.

Muriel, I have been reading your blog & enjoyed the entries about the 11+ (though they also worried me!). Our daughter Charlotte is 10 and we are currently getting her ready to take the 11+ in September and even have a tutor she meets with once a week via Skype. It's nervewracking! And no fun preparing for an exam in a country you don't even live in yet. (sigh)
At least I have a She Writes meet-up in London to look forward to when we've moved!

It made me smile...maybe I'm projecting, but the image was bristling with "What next?! Bring it on! I'll take it on!" which is how I feel most days lately trying to raise the kids, keep the boat of marriage afloat, read something from the growing stack (mostly unskimmed) of the two magazines I subscrribe to (Poetry, and P & W) and then random New Yorkers friends hand me etc...not to mention trying to journal in the morning over a cup of tea or maybe...send out a submission. Or...write something new...
Cheers to blogging! I always feel better when I've posted. That's something.
