Novellas easier than novels

I have personally found that writing novellas is much more rewarding for me and quicker, but not if you want to go the way of big publishing houses. However  www.lovelychristianromance.com  is looking at novellas and hosting a writing contest.  They are also accepting short stories for anthology  and paying $10 per story 1000 to 3000 words in Christian Romance.....Here is the writing contest info.   for the short story info just go to their…See More

Teresa, Welcome to the novelist group. If you haven’t done so already, you might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion.

We do a live chat at 1 EST on the first Wednesdays of each month, with instructions on how to participate in the "Our Water Cooler" box near the top of the group page. And we save the wall for discussion, but welcome links to helpful blog posts on the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread and to published books in the “Our Published Novels” one.

I hope you’ll enjoy the group.

Hi Teresa!

Welcome to the Southern Writers group. First, please visit our"Kitchen Sink" discussion to get into the swing of things. Also, be sure to introduce yourself on the "Roll Call" discussion, and then just jump in and do what you like. Start a discussion, ask questions, or just tell us what you've been up to. We're a casual, friendly bunch :)

Be sure to let us all know how you found out about our little group here on She Writes!

Hello, Teresa!

I want to personally Thank You for joining my group Blooming Late. As you can see we are in a bit of a flux right now but please bear with us.

I took the liberty of looking at your profile and see that you are or working with a place that puts out Christian Romances? I think that is a really great thing! I wish you much success!

Now let me fill you in a little about us here at Blooming Late-

There are many wonderful women like you here in our group from all over the world and all ages, genres and levels of writing who are a real source of support, encouragement and inspiration. I hope that you will be able to make your writing home with us!

Please, when you have time let us get to know you a bit better by posting in our "To kick things off" discussion or if you don't feel like doing an extensive intro. then just say Hello" on our wall on the front page.

We have just started something new here too. We have launched our own group platform,we have our own group blog called "The Blooming Late Journal" which link can be found in our Discussion area if you would like to write a post in there and then plug your blog, your book and your own platform once you have them but you can write about anything anytime.

Then we have our own Twitter hashtag so we can talk to each other in there as well as make sure to re-tweet each others blog posts and important links, etc. It is #BLWriters - just add it to any of your tweets so the group can see them by looking for the hashtag.

And best of all, we have our own Facebook Fanpage under "Blooming Late Authors", please LIKE the page and then feel free to do your plugging in there as well as put things in there that you may find useful or fun for the group to see.

We would like it also, if as time allows, you would "friend" everyone in the group in here as well as in Facebook and Twitter so that our groups publicity potential is maximized for all the writing work we do and is seen out there on the net.

We have a PAGES section to the left of the group wall where you can list your blog as well as your FB/Twitter handles if you have them (which I would ask on the latter, if you could get that up right away so that everyone could connect with you), among other things like your birthday etc.

We also have useful DISCUSSION areas that might be a help to your writing. You can choose to follow as many or as little Discussions as will interest and help you,we don't have any requirements on how much anyone participates but I would ask if you will set your settings in here to recieve the group emails so that you can be kept up on anything important in the group as a whole. On average I only email the entire group once a month.

Also, if there's anything I can personally do, I'll be happy to help with anything you may need. Again, forgive me for that late welcome, but sincere thanks for being a member!

I am glad you are here and welcome to YOUR group!
