Vivian...is there a link, or more information about Raven's Blanket? For work, I traveled to many Indian and Eskimo villages, and my novel is set in bush Alaska. Thanks.

Ah...a fellow Alaskan; it is so good to meet you, Vivian.

I've always wanted to go to the Island Institute; this fall I'll be attending Natalie Goldberg's writer/Zen workshop in Santa Fe. So many wonderful things to do...so little time!

So good to "meet" you, Vivian, and great thanks for the heads-up on Alaska 49.  I just read "Slick" and was truly moved - powerful, beautiful, heartbreaking. Thank you for putting it out there.

Sounds like we've got some similar favorites - I'm a big fan of Devilfish and Tommy Joseph's work, too.  I'll be spending much of May longlining, but perhaps our paths will cross at the Backdoor sometime.  Meanwhile, best wishes to you and yours.

Oh!  Hello, fellow Sitkan!  Thanks so much for the add, Vivian - I'm looking forward to reading your work.  Any chance you recently did that Island Institute workshop with Peggy Shumaker?

Cheers -

Just opened the door to the novelist group for you - welcome! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. I’ll look forward to chatting with you!
