I'm the Co-Director of a non-profit called Raven's Blanket based in Wrangell, Alaska, which is designed to perpetuate the cultural wellness and traditions of Indigenous peoples through education, media, and the arts; to promote the artistic works throughout Alaska by both Native and non-native Alaskans.

I've always wanted to go to the Island Institute; this fall I'll be attending Natalie Goldberg's writer/Zen workshop in Santa Fe. So many wonderful things to do...so little time!

Sounds like we've got some similar favorites - I'm a big fan of Devilfish and Tommy Joseph's work, too. I'll be spending much of May longlining, but perhaps our paths will cross at the Backdoor sometime. Meanwhile, best wishes to you and yours.
