Ana E Ross was born and raised on the small Caribbean island of Nevis. BTW, Nevis is also the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton. Who knew that? Show of hands…..
During her early teens, Ana began reading romances — Mills & Boones, Historicals, Regencies — You name it; she’s read it. Then one horrifying day, she realized she’d read every single romance novel in the library on her island.
Talk about frustration as she waited for new shipments of used books to come in from donors in the U.S., Canada, England, or wherever the blessed hearts resided. Inspired by the adventures of love between the alpha males and challenging females in the novels she’d read, Ana began writing love poems in high school. When she moved to the U.S., she wrote and sold several short stories over the years. That was then….
Now…
During the day, Ana teaches both 9th-grade Writing and 11th-grade English Literature, and during the nights, she crafts romantic novels about alpha males who are flawed down to their silky briefs, and beautiful feisty heroines who challenge them within a breath-hair of insanity.
At the beginning of 2011, Ana promised herself that she’d be published by the end of the year. But life came along and upset her plan to get her debut novel out to readers. Determined to keep her promise, Ana did a hasty edit on an old short story she had sitting around, and self-published “Her Perfect Valentine Birthday Surprise” on December 31, 2011. Since then, Ana has published two other short stories, The Brit Who Loved Her, and When Amber Got Her Groove Back.
