  • Don't get sucked into buying a LCCN from CreateSpace; you can get one free directly from the Library of Congress.  I was really upset that CreateSpace didn't tell me that upfront before I spent the $49.

  • Hi Celine,

Maybe you've figured this all out by now, but I just saw on CreateSpace's site that you can buy an LCCN assignment from them for $49.

  • I assume this is a very good thing. Does anyone know what the next step is for authors who want their ebooks carried by libraries? For instance, my book is available in both the Kindle and Nook formats, but I've no idea how to get them accessed by libraries. My small press did the conversion to ebook, and I don't have a clue as to the process.

    Thanks!
