Please call me Ellen.
I'm a writer, visual artist, an advocate for autism services and a freelance community builder, a.k.a. a Non-Market Skills Specialist. Currently, I am seeking a publisher for Let Me Look At You, a memoir about the obsession with a popular movie that brought me peace as the parent of a child with autism.
I have an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My paying jobs have been in commercial photography, property management, interior design and customer service.
I am fascinated by water, houses and trees both as metaphors and as visual and functional entities. Consequently, I live near the lake in Chicago, in an old bungalow, under a large beech tree.
