Ellen Belk is President of Keep In Mind, Inc.™ and creator of Memory Magz™. Since 2001, Belk has specialized in the development of programming and interventions for the memory impaired.
Prior to starting Keep In Mind, Inc.™ in 2011, Belk worked for industry leader Atria Senior Living as a Divisional Life Guidance Director.
In that role Belk supported 24 Memory Units that spanned 11 states from Texas into Maryland. Belk advocated for over 425 seniors with Alzheimer’s and other dementias while training and supporting their direct-care providers.
A native of Wisconsin, she began as an Activity Assistant before becoming Director of an Adult Day Services program. In 2003, Belk transitioned into a Business Development role at a Senior Living Community, operated by the Alexian Brothers Healthcare system.
Throughout her professional journey, Belk has garnered accolades for developing unique programs through community partnerships ranging from an Inter-generational reading program to a highly successful Mature Musician concert band. In 2010, Belk developed an Art Appreciation program which became a company-wide signature initiative for all the Memory Care units within Atria Senior Living.
Memory Magz™ is a magazine-style picture publication with full page, vibrant images purposefully designed for people with cognitive decline and/or developmental disabilities. After years of test trials, Belk and her business partner-husband published the first two editions of Memory Magz™ in December of 2011. Belk and her husband currently live in South Carolina.
