I am primarily a children's and YA fantasy author. But I also advocate for people with chronic illnesses and disabilities. In my former life, I was the director of a refugee aid non-profit, a teacher, and a musician. Currently, I work as an editor.

I've published three middle grade fantasies Elissa's Quest, Elissa's Odyssey, and World's End (Random House). I've also written a medical reference book, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Treatment Guide (St. Martin's). My short work has appeared in over a dozen literary magazines and anthologies. My screenplay, The Treehouse, was finished in 2011.
