The TexPatch is the creation of Ginger McKnight-Chavers, a Texpatriate and native of Dallas, Texas, who has lived in the Northeastern U.S. for many years. A Harvard-trained attorney and writer, and former Gurfein Writing Fellow at Sarah Lawrence College, McKnight-Chavers has never left behind or forgotten her deep, multi-generational Texan roots. The TexPatch was created as a conversation between Texans and non-Texans on life, art, culture, politics, style, humor and the human experience. McKnight-Chavers’ short story “The Maslins,” appeared in “Oil and Water: and Other Things That Don’t Mix,” a collection of short stories and essays by female authors from the Gulf Coast region, available at www.amazon.com.
