I'm a 53year old woman who after being told countless times on Facebook "You have got to write a book! You're so funny" decided to consider it. I'm married to a retired army soldier who chose to leave the rat race of being a computer engineer and instead, spends his days puttering around fixing things at my school. I'm the proud mother of a funny, sarcastic eight (going on forty) year old boy named Seth who surprised his dad and I with a plus sign on a pregnancy test deep in our forties. After my breast cancer at the age 40 we had given up on having kids. Surprise! I teach kindergarten in a small rural Oklahoma town. Though there are days I'm not sure I'll make it to my designated retirement in 10 years, most days I leave with a bag full of funny quotes. If a kinder says your hair looks funny, bank on the fact you’re having a bad hair day. Though their comments are sometimes ego crushingly accurate, it’s okay because I know they love me. Bad hair and all.
