Who am I
I'm a reinvented woman from Anchorage, Alaska, who decided four years ago that the only way to realize my dream of becoming a novelist was to push aside the fear and excuses--I'm too old, I'm not good enough, I don't have time, No one will read this stuff--and WRITE. Two finished novels later I'm still settling in my niche and discovering what I do well. I consider my fiction to be non-genre. I like creating flawed characters with a good side. My stories are set in Alaska-- a gold mine for flawed characters. My favorite authors are Alice Hoffman, Toni Morrison, Margaret Atwood, Anne Patchett, and Walter Mosley. My full-time job is investigator after working as a newspaper journalist for 20 years. I have one daughter, one son, and four grandchildren who all live too far away.
