I sit and wait upon my thoughts
I breathe as if I have nothing to do for a moment
I watch a lazy cloud dance across the bright blue sky
on top of a hill or at the far end of an emerald valley
I am still I do not stir or step from side to side
I only wait in the silence for the words will come

I take a deep breath as I step through time and space
it soon arrives, I hear its whisper, I keep it close
I journey into the thought for it has begun
it is a blessing to wait upon the unspoken word
quick before it leaves, I take it into memory
my passion takes its home upon my page
for it may never come this way again
